I am often being asked about which restarants I like and would like to go to so here are some ideas of nice restaurants with my comments (practising to become a restaurant cirtic;-). I really like London because there is always somewhere I haven't been to yet. Every restaurant brings some nice memories about a person I have visited it with. :-)
Zuma- www.zumarestaurant.com - Contemporary Japanese cusine with a fun attitude. Zuma is also known as 'hedge fund central' or 'escort central'. If you think all those mature men with very young girls are their fathers or boyfriends, think again ;-) The food is excellent, service is great, the place is fun and buzzy, a great place to go before a night out in town.
Umu- www.umurestaurant.com - Hidden in Mayfair, Umu is all you wanted to know about Japanses cusine but were afraid to ask- Japanese fusion cusine with a twist. A delicious view on Japanese food.
Club Gascon - www.clubgascon.com - a fois gras heaven. Fois gras orgasm and fois gras capuccino.
The Botanist - www.thebotanistonsloanesquare.com - Excellent food and service, always full of fun people at the bar with a long list of delicious coctails prepared by very handsome bartenders.
The Square - excellent food and service and a memorable moment when I asked if the Chef was married. Yes, it was that good. ;-)
Bluebird - funky interiors and good food, however it tends to be a bit empty, the up side is- we can choose any table. During lunch time there are many Chelsea lunching ladies outside, you can also spot lunching Angela Sobieski if you are lucky. ;-)
Themidus at the Great Eastern Hotel- The food is great, very posh place for a very posh lady.
Asia de Cuba at the St Martin's Lane Hotel - Ah, the romance and the WTC chocolate cake! :-)
Blue Elephant - Thai food at its best along with the rain forrest interiors and large fish swimming around being a major distraction for me, especially the green one with orange spots. I hope you are not cooked yet, darling!
