Sometimes it is not possible to send emails if someone wants to see me at a short notice but if this is not the case, emails are great, they allow to communicate so much more efficently and arrange dates better. I love to receive emails with introduction about the man I am supposed to meet. I can even risk saying it is more romantic :-) And on top of that it really helps me judging who is a genuine person and who is not. For example if I am expecting a phone call from someone who has already emailed me, I can actually enjoy the pleasure of knowing who I am talking to. You don't really realise that when you are calling me I don't know who you are and although I am sure you are lovely, I will simply not know it at the first 'hello'.
