I am sorry, I know you are not really interested in this film as it is mainly for girls, but I have to write about it. I loved it. I went to see it with a very good friend of mine (needless to say she is a girl as all men I know refused to go!) and we had great time and shed a few tears (ok, just me- lucky it was dark!) over the adventures of Carrie and Mr. Big.
I know many people say that this film is only about designer clothes, handbags etc. but it is not true at all. Anyone who has seen the series and is a female will understand. Keep on reading girls, guys you are allowed to switch to porn websites now ;-)
My favorite character of all four girls is Carrie of course and my second favorite is Samantha. For some reason when I say that to a guy, the first thing they say is that Sarah Jessica Parker is not attractive. I personally think she is very cute but not classically beautiful. I guess guys have to fancy the actress to like the character she is playing, so typical ;-) That's why Angelina Jolie can play anyone :-)
Back to the film, I think it portrays the ultimate every girls' dream of getting married to handsome, rich financier. So true in New York and in London! 10 years of an on and off relationship and finally Carries makes it, lucky girl :-) I love Carrie's style and the way she is and on top of that she can afford all those fabulous clothes just by writing a column and a book. Amazing! I can barely scrape a living out of writing my blog, I guess it is time for a book soon to make ends meet. ;-)
Samantha is a combination of a sexy woman who thinks a bit like a man and sometimes acts like one. And she hates relationships and commitment, isn't she perfect?
Regarding other characters, I don't really like Miranda, I think the acress who is playing her is ugly (yes, I think like a man sometimes, too!) And Charlotte is a bit boring with her perfect husband and perfect eveything. Of course, I totally love Mr. Big, he is so romantic and such a gentleman! I think many women dream of a man like that. I know it sounds cheesy but it is true.
Anyway, I wonder if any of you guys have seen the film of the Sex and the City series and what you think about it. It is always good to hear man's point of view, as long as it doesn't involve references to football. ;-)
Kisses,
Angela
PS. I hope there will be a sequel. Carrie and Mr.Big will have children and something tells me that Mr.Big will have an affair. Remember, I told you that first! :-) |
